I was at a nice little (jazz blues) concert, by a band called “MNM” yesterday in my hometown, Debrecen. Guitar (Fender Strato) + string bass + keys (Fender Rhodes) + drums was the lineup. And this was the sound and song that came up to my mind during their concert.
Playing Water’s Edge, L.P. (For Les Paul), and Freddie Hubbard’s composition, Povo and talking about his early career and his view on the changing music scene. Also a VIDEO HERE. Enjoy!
A friend of mine suggested us (the Funky Donots) playing this song from Jamiroquai.
Well, it is an honour to get such requests ;) Whatever, it is a koool, running and groovy track.
That’s smooth. Midnight at the Oasis by Kim Waters.
“Daily-lol” by a one-man a capella band.
It’s gonna be a classic album again.
The Brand New Heavies - Feels Like Right
(an all time favourite)
Bluey (Incognito) is a funkman!
Barabás Lőrinc Eklektric feat. Sena.
You have to check the earlier works of Barabás Lőrinc as well. A great, fresh Hungarian trumpet player. Sometimes his music reminds me to Miles’s Doobop-sound. Now shuttling between Budapest and London.
One of the most exciting productions around.
What a concert!!!
They were brilliant at Budapest yesterday. It’s been a pleasure to see+hear such a ‘positive’ event. Shaking hands with Bluey was just the bonus of the night. Thx!
